Microsoft announced that your computer is up for 16 vaccinations or booster shots coming this Tues., June 14.  Hackers are targeting everything from MS Office to .Net Framework.  Say, “Ah for the doctor and bend over, please!”  It won’t hurt a lot and it’s better than the alternative!

Vote for Your Favorite Team in the Imagine Cup

March 23 kicks off another milestone for the Imagine Cup student technology competition. Right now, the People’s Choice Awards are live. You can check out the finalists, view videos of their projects and vote for your favorite team, including LifeCode.

The Software Design and Game Design teams with the most votes will be crowned champions at the Imagine Cup 2011 U.S. Finals awards ceremony on Monday, April 11, in Redmond, Wash. There are 22 U.S. teams competing in the U.S. finals on April 8-11 in Redmond, vying for a spot in the Worldwide finals on July 8-13, which will be held in the U.S. for the first time in 10 years in New York City.

LifeCode Team Makes US Finals of Imagine Cup

The LifeCode Team from Wayne State University has made it to the US finals of the Microsoft Imagine Cup again! LifeCode uses sensors attached to a person’s body which capture vital information, uses Bluetooth technology to transmit the data to their Windows 7 phone  which in turn sends the data to “the cloud” (remote data storage servers) where it can be stored and analyzed.  Microsoft’s Imagine Cup, is an international competition designed to encourage a new generation of computing geniuses.
