Sophie Boudreau is a freelance write for Only in Michigan website.  Sophie is originally from the west side of the state (Holland, specifically) and she graduated from the University of Michigan in 2014 with a degree in Screen Arts & Cultures. Following a year as a Fulbright grantee in Malaysia, Sophie returned to Michigan and started searching for writing-related jobs. She actually came across Only In Your State via a Craigslist ad about a Michigan freelance writing position, Sophie has now been with the company for a year and while she continue to work primarily with the Only In Michigan and Only In Detroit initiatives, she also oversee video projects for the website as a whole. Sophie currently live in Grand Rapids.

Cal Carson, Ed Rudel and Gary Baker co-hosted the show covering recovery efforts in Florida following multiple attacks by hurricanes.

Fortunately Gary was able to weather the storm inland at a convenient Air B&B in Fort Lauderdale. Meantime his boat, Shared Adventure, also weathered the storm at the Las Olas marina. Fortunately the hurricane had changed landfall and he and his craft avoided the worst of the impact.

The guys were joined by Alex Landos, an international relief worker, who described efforts to bring people out of the Florida Keys.  Alex is a recognized photographer who has helped with rescue efforts around the globe.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”black” border_width=”5″][vc_column_text]
