Mike Brennan, editor of MiTechNews, was formally invited by the Israeli government to cover the prestigious CyberWeek 2017 at Tel Aviv University starting June 25.  7,000 participants from 48 countries will gather in Israel this week to discuss tactics and technology of cybersecurity.  Mike will report all week long from his website but he joins us today to give us the scope of this major cybersecurity conference.

ON JANUARY 1ST OF 2016, the Detroit Police Department (DPD) partnered with eight gas stations that have installed real-time camera connections with police headquarters as part of a ground-breaking crime-fighting partnership between local businesses, the City of Detroit and community groups called “Project Green Light Detroit.”

PROJECT GREEN LIGHT DETROIT is the first public-private-community partnership of its kind, blending a mix of real-time crime-fighting and community policing aimed at improving neighborhood safety, promoting the revitalization and growth of local businesses, and strengthening DPD’s efforts to deter, identify, and solve crime.

Sharma Krauskopf is the Executive Producer/Screenwriter of Lighthouse Unmanned which began its life as a crowdfunding project that we announced three years ago on Internet Advisor.  The movie has finally launched and is currently being screened at a film festival in Toronto, Ont.  Sharma will take us through how the Internet was used to bring this unique films to theatres and what her next project will be.
