Steve Jobs Dead at 56: A Genius Passes

Apple officially announced the death of its co-founder, Steve Jobs, who passed peacefully at his home surrounded by family.  Perhaps this was Steve’s last “one more thing…” a favorite phrase he used at the end of length Apple product launches to announce the most innovative “next big thing” in computing.  Jobs has suffered for many years from a form of pancreatic cancer and had looked drawn and haggard in his last public appearances.  Earlier this week he was absent from the launch of the iPhone 4S which disappointed the expectations of many bloggers and commentators who had created an hysterical cloud of speculation leading  up to the event.
