Hour 2: Listener Q & A
The second hour of our show is usually dedicated to answering listeners’ random questions called in on 800 859-0957. This week we were blessed with an extra half hour, so we extended the Q&A time and added a special guest at the start of the second hour.
If you want to submit a question after we are off the air, use the comment box at the bottom of this page.
Did your phone suddenly go off last week with a text warning about flash flooding? If so, you were the proud recipient of a WEA (Wireless Emergency Alert). You may have received Amber Alters in the past with the object of helping to find missing children but there are many other kinds of alerts.
1st Lt. Mike Shaw of the Michigan State Police explained the impact of a new law just passed in Michigan which will extend that alert system in Michigan. The new law passed on Sept. 20 is Michigan PA 235 PUBLIC THREAT ALERT SYSTEM ACT of 2016.

Ed Rudel gave a very important link during our Q&A session. If you have been having trouble installing programs on Windows 7, 8 or 10, there is a great tool waiting for you.
Go to www.bing.com and look for KB2714434
You will be taken to a screen that will give you a great tool called Mr. Fixit, which, when downloaded will automatically fix the problem for you!
"Overtime" an extra half hour of answering our listeners' questions
Due to time left before the beginning of MSU football coverage, we were able to take an extra half hour of answering listener questions.
