Hour 1: E- Waste Scam Exposed by BAN and Transforming MiTechNews.com

BAN networkBAN or the Bazel Action Network is a non-profit with a mission to champion global environmental health and justice by:

  • ending toxic trade
  • catalyzing a toxics-free future
  • campaigning for everyone’s right to a flourishing environment.

Focusing on electronic waste and old ships, BAN fulfills its mission using interrelated policy, market solutions, and public engagement strategies that create systemic change.

Global Tech Ministries

For most of our history, the Internet Advisor has been proud to recommend Global Tech Ministries led by Stephen Beck as a recycling resource for  your major e-waste.  As with any kind of “ministry” this has been an uphill struggle to find funding and this December is another one of those deadlines beyond which the future of Global Tech Ministries is very unclear.  If you want to help or have computers you want to recycle, click here.

Transforming MiTechNews.com

Melih OztalyMelih Oztaly and the SmartFinds Agency transformed Mike Brennan’s MiTechNews.com website by creating a 600% increase in visitors and a radical boost in time spent on the website.  How did they do it?  You will have to listen in to find out.

Here is the new and improved MiTechNews.com site!

Back in the mid 1990’s, Melih and Gary Baker were two of the pioneer ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) in Metro Detroit. Gary’s old, company Online Tech  continues to survive and thrive because they have shifted their focus to data management and now are one of the premiere data storage and management companies in the Midwest.
