Q1 Highlights:
- Wrapping up an IT training program that helped to address Southeast Michigan’s IT skills gap by training more than 1,300 local employees
- Investments in six local tech startups
- Helping to attract Chinese plastics company Kingfa to Canton, Mich., creating 50 high-tech jobs

Sandra Cochrane is a full-time Technology Business Consultant for the MI-SBDC. In this position she assists start-up and early-stage high-tech companies. Services she provides to clients include business plan development, accessing capital, strategic planning, and general business consultation.
On today’s show she represents a perspective on the tech initiatives that are developing on the west side of Michigan in the Grand Rapids, Holland and Kalamazoo and other sunset communities.
