Since 2004 Fr. Richard Dalton, an Anglican priest from Rochester, MI, has doggedly published a chronicle of Detroit’s good news, promoted budding artists and shared stories that otherwise wouldn’t have seen the light of day.  It’s called Look Up Detroit.

The whole news/media issues are very much on peoples minds right now.  Leaving the curation of content in the hands of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media sites is a serious concern.  Fr. Dalton has added a new way for interested individuals to post stories about their communities and events in and around Detroit.  Listen to the interview and find out how you can become part of reporting the real news happening in the Motor City and its suburbs.

Lisa R. Kujawa, the Assistant Provost for Enrollment at Lawrence Technological University, joined us for the first  hour of the show to highlight the summer camp schedule coming this July at LTU. Seun Phillips, VP of Education and Engagement at Michigan Science Center joined our experts to describe the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs that the Michigan Science Center is using to encourage children, particularly girls, to get involved early and often in sciences. Seun Phillips joined the Michigan Science Center in 2015 and has pioneered and led successful initiatives in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) educational community since 2006.
