I have Windows Meda 9 [version 9.00.00.4510] on Windows XP. Clicking the tab "Help/Update", a dialog box states that an update is available which can be obtained by clicking "Next". But there is no information about what exactly is in the update. I do not want to install an update with content that I do not want. If I click "next", I do not know if I will be able to cancel the process before the installation occurs (I have seen this happen with certain other software programs). When the Microsoft Update webpage scans my computer re.: high-priority and optional updates, there are none listed for WMP. Therefore, can someone EITHER (1) assure me that I can prevent the installation after clicking 'next" OR (2) refer me to a webpage at Microsoft where I can read about and choose updates manually. My search of the Microsoft website has failed. Thanks

I have been told that the update is really an upgrade to WMP 11. This answers my question.
