Due to problems with my fairly new printer I pulled out my old HP psc 1210 wired printer and hooked it up to my laptop AND it works beautifully.  Now my question is I would like to turn it into a wifi printer so I can use  it with my other laptop, but it doesn't have a USB port to hoop up the hardware needed to accomplish  this task, is there any other way that I can do this?

You did not indicate what kind of wired connection you are using to connect your printer to your laptop.  If you had indicated what kind of cable connection the printer has it would have made the answer much easier.

If your laptop is a newer one it does not have a serial or a parallel port so you would be using the USB port on the laptop.

I am assuming from your post that you want to plug the printer into the router which has a USB port.  If your cable that connects to the laptop is a serial connection you can purchase a USB to serial adapter which should work.  USB to serial adapters are fussy and may or may not work in you setup.  I had to get two different ones before I got one that would work for me in a totally different setup.

If you want more help tell us the exact connections that need to be made on both ends.

This is a long shot. Have you tried going online and looking for adapter cables? I was able to help a friend by giving him an OS2/USB adapter cable.
