I use Carbonite to back up my home PC, but it does not back up my external drive. Switching to Carbonite Pro is substantially more expensive. What do you recommend for online backup services?

ccbackus
I also use carbonite. I have two hard drives in my home machine and it backups both of them but not an external I also have connected. I have not thought about the pro because of the cost. There are other online backups, but I do not know if any off the will back up and external drive.

Backblaze. It's exactly what you're looking for.

You might want to google Amazon S3 and "Jungle Disk" if you are looking for a name more well known than "Backblaze" I am not saying this company is no good just that I know Amazon and I do not know this outfit. You really do not want your cloud backup company to simply fold one day taking your stuff with it.
Setting up a datacenter to be 24×7 is no easy thing and it's clear Amazon has that already.

I thought about recommending S3 storage for ccbackus, but I got a feeling that price was an issue, given that he balked at a Carbonite pro account. S3 storage with Jungledisk can get pricey with lots of storage, as I assumed he had with the external hard drive.
