Make W7 look more like XP

Greetings

Hoping some who haunt the IA site might be able to provide some info.

I purchased the two disc set when Windows 7 became available and installed the 32 bit version. Absolutely hated the new interface. Even after using the Ms tutorials I still couldn't figure out how to migrate around in 7 easily. After weeks of trying to figure out how to do stuff I reverted back to XP Pro, because I was running around chasing my tail trying to accomplish easy things in 7.

Sadly to say, many other senior citizens, like myself, to this day still find 7 extremely unintuative to use.

Can anyone suggest tutorials that are more user friendly than what Ms provided, or better yet, some wizz bang download that allows users to run 7 with the older XP user interface?

Thanks in advance for any ideas, suggestions or ideas.

What precisely are you having problems with?  If you're happy with XP, I suppose you should continue using it (as long as you're running SP3), but I've found Windows 7 to be VERY intuitive, rock-solid, and the best Microsoft OS I've ever used.

Warrantyvoider,

Thank you for responding.

Basically, the jump from XP to Win 7 for some older people has been a major shock. Frankly, for many older computer users the tutorials that Ms provided weren't really that good; they focused on all the wizz-bang new things you could do in 7, without really explaining much more.

Since my original post I have found:  http://www.top-windows-tutoria…..ows-7.html

This site seems to be much more user friendly, for older computer users and orientated to really explaining W7. Basically, I think Ms dropped the ball on explaining how to use W7 for their older clients.

As to the second part of my enquirery, many of the people whom I visit each month, to make sure their computers are relatively free from malware and crapware, often ask why they can't have the old XP interface back on their computer. Just wondering if some wizz kid out there in cyberspace has developed something.
