I have been using carbonite for a couple years or more.  I have only had one time I had to retrieve something from them and it worked fine.  The problem that required me to retrieve something was not their fault, but the fact I could retrieve it made the cost of the service look good.

I use carbonite and Paragon BU and Recovery.

I rather my computer(s) were over protected than have no protection at all.
