I have a 7 year old HP with Windows XP. I have used the "standby" mode in the past and restarted my computer with the button on CPU. I recently used the "sleep" button on keyboard, and restarted using the button on the CPU (which I read later that was not the thing to do). Now my sleep and standby modes DO NOT WORK. My computer will sleep for about a minute then "wakes up" on it's own. It won't stay in the sleep mode. Did I screw something up by restarting with the CPU button? Please help. Thank you.
