I usually use Idisksoft Data Recovery.It could recover Mac OS data from lost, deleted, logical corrupted and formatted hard drive, iPod,
USB drive, SD card, digital camera, mobile phone, MP3, and MP4 player.

Few days ago 125 photos from my Sony Cyber Shoot, For recovering the lost photos I have used image recovery software. It was really helpful for repairing damaged photos safely with the help of advanced algorithms. I think one should try it after photo loss for safe recovery.
